Christmas Bird Count for Kids
With Nature Saskatchewan
Experience the joy of birding and contribute to community science at the Christmas Bird Count for Kids at the Saskatchewan Science Centre. This engaging family event includes:
A guided bird walk led by an expert, where participants will count birds as part of a community science initiative with Birds Canada.
A wildlife presentation by Salthaven West, focusing on how to protect local bird populations and support wildlife.
Outdoor programming for children aged 5 and under, hosted by Nature Regina's Get Outside Kids Club (caregiver supervision required).
Indoor activities in the Saskatchewan Science Centre lobby, including crafts, snacks, and prizes.
The unveiling of Regina’s Official Bird painting by artist Madison Pascal.
Dress warmly and bring binoculars if you have them.
Registration is required and closes on January 2.
