Tracks and Scat Workshop
With Nature Moncton
“Once January has arrived, the onset of snow will give us great opportunity to check out what wildlife signs are left behind in the form of those telltale tracks and scat that cause us to speculate on who’s been there and whodunit.” - Nature Moncton.
Join Caitlyn Robert, Program Coordinator for Nature New Brunswick, in this informative and engaging workshop about reading wildlife signs in the Fundy Biosphere Region. As snow blankets the area, it provides the perfect opportunity to uncover animal tracks and scat, which offer fascinating clues about local wildlife. Caitlyn will share her expert tips on how to identify these cryptic signs and decode the stories they tell.
In addition to tracking, Caitlyn will dive into the world of skull identification, bringing a collection of real skulls to illustrate key identification features. With Caitlyn's diverse background in wildlife biology and her passion for educating others about the natural world, this session promises to be both educational and inspiring. Originally from Quebec, Caitlyn has worked in various wildlife roles across North America, from butterfly guiding in Costa Rica to wild bird rehabilitation in Vermont. She now brings her expertise to Nature NB, inspiring others to explore and connect with nature.
