Spring Mushrooms Webinar
With Raincoast Education Society
While autumn is often considered prime mushroom season, British Columbia’s forests have fungal surprises in store for spring as well. With around a third of the species found in fall, spring mushrooms are just as intriguing—offering a mix of rare discoveries, exciting foraging opportunities, and challenging identifications.
Join Dr. Kem Luther, co-author of Mushrooms of British Columbia, as he introduces the diverse world of spring-fruiting fungi. From sought-after edibles like oyster mushrooms and morels to lesser-known species, this talk will prepare you for mushroom forays in April and May, when both flowers and fungi are in bloom.
Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your knowledge of BC’s spring mushrooms. Save the event to your calendar using the buttons on the left and tune in for an evening of fungal exploration!
