Winter is one of the best times for a shoreline cleanup—fewer birds are nesting, making it the perfect opportunity to remove harmful plastic pollution before spring. Join Scotian Shores at Meteghan Centre Beach for a rewarding afternoon of conservation, where you’ll help keep Nova Scotia’s coastline clean and safe for wildlife. With over 1.5 million pounds of debris removed since 2020, every cleanup makes a lasting impact. Reusable bags and gloves will be provided—just bring warm layers, a positive attitude, and a passion for the ocean. Everyone is welcome, including leashed furry friends!
