Discover the beauty of Kanien’kéha (Mohawk) with this introductory online language course. Open to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous participants, this course highlights the importance of language revitalization for cultural and ecological preservation.

Participants will explore the sound system, vocabulary, and grammar of Kanien’kéha, learning to introduce themselves, make statements, and ask questions in this rich and meaningful language. Taught by Tahnee Bennett, a Mohawk educator from Six Nations, the sessions provide a comprehensive introduction to the Ohswekén:’a (Grand River dialect).

The course includes:

  • 8 live virtual 90-minute sessions, recorded for later access.

  • A Certificate of Completion.

  • Resources to continue your language journey.

  • Free for Kanien’kehà:ka participants.

  • Indigenous participants: 75% off regular price.

  • Non-Indigenous participants: $180 ($22.50/session).

  • Group discounts: 10% off for groups of 5 or more.
