Heart of the Biosphere Film Screening

Heart of the Biosphere Film Screening

With the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere

“Filmed over twelve months among some of southwest Scotland’s most dramatic mountain and wetland landscapes, our cinematic short Heart of the Biosphere: A Year in the Life of Merrick-Kells and Silver Flowe invites you to experience wildlife, habitats, and sense of place. Journey through four seasons to discover why the UNESCO Biosphere’s remote core area is so important for conservation and sustainable land use, and how forging connections between people and nature creates a better future for all.

There will be opportunity after the screening for audience Q&A with Biosphere officers Antoine (Nature Recovery) and Tamara (Marketing), which will be followed by an interactive session to talk more about how people and environment connect, and how we can sustain these connections now and in the future.”
