The Future of Conservation on the Prairies

The Future of Conservation on the Prairies

With the Saskatoon Nature Society

“Dr. Branimir Gjetvaj is a Saskatoon-based biologist, environmental photographer and a dedicated nature conservationist. He is interested in issues that connect land use, biodiversity conservation and food security. Branimir is passionate about supporting and restoring biodiversity in agricultural landscapes through wider adoption of nature-based climate solutions.

In his beautifully illustrated presentation, Branimir will argue for a transformative, systems approach to nature conservation and land management – to work with local and Indigenous communities on solutions that will bend the curve of biodiversity loss and increase the resiliency of our food production in times of rapidly changing climate.”
