“Forage fish, such as surf smelt and Pacific sand lance, play a crucial role in the marine food web. Our citizen science project helps monitor these important species to ensure the health of our coastal ecosystems.

Bring appropriate clothing for the weather, rubber boots, a headlamp or torch and a sense of adventure. All necessary equipment and training will be provided on-site. No previous experience is necessary!”

Location: Trail Bay, Sechelt

Time: 5-6pm Pacific Time
