Biosphere Day at the Library
Biosphere Day at the Library is a special event celebrating the Cascade Head Biosphere Region and its incredible landscapes, wildlife, and conservation efforts.
The Cascade Head Biosphere Region, designated by the United Nations in 1976 and reauthorized in 2017, spans 102,110 acres on the central Oregon Coast. It includes the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area, Experimental Forest, Preserve, Marine Reserve, and Marine Protected Areas, fostering a rare and diverse ecosystem vital to local wildlife and communities.
