Beginner Birding in Ontario

Beginner Birding in Ontario

With Royal Botanical Gardens Canada

Interested in birdwatching but don’t know where to start? This beginner-friendly program, hosted by Royal Botanical Gardens Canada, is designed to help you learn how to identify a variety of Ontario birds using features like colour, size, shape, behaviour, habitat, and song.

Led by experienced instructor Heather Hosten, this small-group session takes place in one of RBG’s scenic natural areas, such as the Arboretum, Hendrie Valley, Princess Point, or Rock Chapel. Participants will be notified of the exact location 48 hours before the event.

With only 12 spots available per session, this is a great opportunity to get expert guidance in a relaxed and supportive setting. Registration closes three days before the event—secure your spot today and save the event to your calendar!
