The Nature Conservancy of Canada’s Big Backyard BioBlitz invites nature lovers, citizen scientists, and outdoor enthusiasts to document the biodiversity in their own backyards and beyond. From July 31 to August 4, 2025, join thousands of BioBlitzers across the country in capturing and sharing observations of local wildlife, plants, and fungi.

Every observation contributes to a growing database that helps scientists track changes in biodiversity and guide conservation efforts. Whether you're an experienced naturalist or a first-time participant, your contributions matter!
